Buccaneer Bay. Take a virtual tour of a tall ship and experience life on board one of these great vessels. Spend some time talking to crew members to learn more about life on the seas. Virtual tours of Adventuress, Amazing Grace, Charles N. Curtis, Mallory Todd, Merrie Ellen, Odyssey, Rejoice, Resolute, Yankee Clipper and Zodiac are available courtesy Comcast, an Admiral Media Partner in the Foss Waterway Seaport Museum.

ASTA Tall Ships® Education Center. The ASTA (American Sail Training Association) Tall Ships® Education Center offers information about sail training, maritime heritage and the marine environment. View exciting sail training DVDs, speak with sailors and discover how ASTA members are harnessing the wind in a sustainable industry.

Crows Nest – Accessible Viewing Areas. Get close to the ships for a great photo opportunity! ADA-accessible viewing areas are provided for our guests who, due to safety regulations, are physically unable to board a ship. In addition to prime views of the ships, including the USCG Eagle, the Crows Nest will have crew members available to answer questions and talk about life on board. Look for the Crows Nest sign and ADA icon and come and enjoy the fun!

Tacoma Symphony Orchestra. The Tacoma Symphony Orchestra will perform an outdoor concert at 10:30 a.m. July 6 on the Treasure Cove Village stage. With the USCG Eagle as a backdrop, the symphony will perform sea-inspired works such as Tchaikovsky’s Russian Sailor Dance and John Phillip Sousa’s Anchor & Star March. A tribute to the brave servicemen and servicewomen of the U.S. military will also be performed featuring themes from the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard. The concert is made available to the public by generous anonymous donors.
