Performer Applications

All stage performances are now booked, however, we are still seeking performers such as roving musicians, buskers, pirates and jugglers for street entertainment.  Please contact Lori Crace at loric@tacomaparks.com for more information.

You are invited to apply to participate in the Tall Ships® Tacoma 2008 festival, the premier maritime event in the South Sound. Tall Ships® Tacoma is a maritime adventure complete with entertainment, crafts, food and some of the most beautiful ships you can imagine. The festival will take place July 3-7 along the Thea Foss Waterway in Tacoma, Washington.

We are seeking high-quality folk, jazz and maritime musical entertainment and diverse cultural dance and music representation from all areas of our community to perform at Tall Ships® Tacoma. In addition, we are looking for interesting street performers and strolling entertainment.

It is essential that you provide a representation of your work so our jury can select the performers. We also encourage you to incorporate some aspect of audience participation in your performance.

If you want your application materials (e.g., tapes, CD’s, etc.) returned to you, please provide a self-addressed, stamped envelope. Otherwise, your application materials will be the property of Tall Ships® Tacoma. We assume no liability for submitted materials.

Complete the attached application form and return it before April 15, 2008.

Applications must be complete and include performance description, photographs, tapes, CDs or videos. Please contact Lori Crace at (253) 305-1076 for more information.

Tall Ships® Tacoma assumes no liabilities against loss, theft or damage for your instruments, costumes and other belongings throughout the duration of the show. Therefore, necessary arrangements must be made by the performer.

All applicants will be notified by May 15, 2008, about their acceptance. Please do not contact us before then.
